Manor Road URC – Church News – Sunday 8th July 2018.

Hello Everyone!

I hope your past week has been an enjoyable one.

I also hope you have been enjoying the fine sunshine that we have been receiving in the United Kingdom lately and also the brilliant world cup football on the television, particularly the England team who (dare I say it) may actually be in with a possible chance of  actually bringing that Cup back home to the United Kingdom.

Must calm down now… must get in the right frame of mind for this religious blog.

There is not much news coming directly from Manor Road Church this week. The majority of news events this week comes from around the Thames North Synod area.

The Manor Road Church elders meeting that was scheduled for this coming Wednesday (11th July) has now been scheduled for the following Tuesday, 17 July at 11.00am in the church hall.

Our Sister church, Highcross Reformed Church in Tottenham, North London is celebrating 150 years as a church and have invited the congregation of Manor Road URC to a Barbeque on Saturday 28th July from 1.00pm-5.00pm.

This event has been planned as a real community event and even the Mayor of Haringey is expected to attend this event. We hope that many members of Manor Road URC will be able to attend this event. High Cross Church has been a very dear friend of Manor Road Church for decades and we as a church would be struggling from Sunday to Sunday if we did not have the help of preachers that Manor Road URC receives from High Cross URC.

The highest majority of preachers we receive at Manor Road URC from Sunday to Sunday come from High Cross Church and Manor Road URC are continually grateful for the continuous support that High Cross URC has shown(and continues to show) towards Manor Road URC for these many decades.

There is more info about this barbeque, further down in the post of this blog.

Next Week’s Sunday Morning’s Service will be led by Kathleen Benjamin from High Cross URC.

Church service begins at 10.30 am.

Have a lovely week everyone.

P.S. Don’t forget your suncreams out there……IT’S GETTING EVEN HOTTER OUT THERE !!!!
